Directional jet mixers create counter-clockwise current in two equalization tanks, 230 ft (70 M) diameter, 20 ft (6 M) deep.
Silicon carbide is bonded to the interior surfaces of the nozzles to provide corrosion and abrasion resistance.
Two 100 HP, two-speed pumps are run at low RPM for normal mixing and at a higher RPM for resuspension of solids.
Each tank required two truck loads of jet mixers manufactured of clear Dow Derakane 470 resin.
